With the upcoming requirements for sustainability reporting, the transition journey of the public sector enters into a new phase. During my 30+ years of carreer as Partner and Global Leader for International Public Sector Accounting at EY, I took responsibility for numerous audits of IPSAS- and IFRS-based financial statements. Beyond that, I led multiple IPSAS implementation projects globally. In the global professsion, I chaired the Consultative Advisory Group (CAG) of the International Public Sector Accounting Board (IPSASB), the Public Sector Group (PSG) of Accountancy Europe, and various public sector related working groups of the German Institute of Chartered Accountants (IDW).
Since January 2024, I am indulging my passion for Public Finance Management as an independent consultant, both in own projects and as an expert for The World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
Combining the multiple skills and perspectives of a standard setter, an accountant and an auditor both in the private and in the public sector, I am offering a comprehensive and all-encompassing approach to advising on Public Finance Management Reforms.
